OH MY GOSH!!!!

Soooo much to chat about…but I have been working on casting for Last Comic Standing!

Because that is finishing up tonight, let me just give you a little hint of the stories to come!

1) I accidentally walked into the men’s room the other night at a wine bar in Uptown Park. But…of course because my life is NEVER boring, There is more to the story and it has to to with SEX in the P.F. Chang’s Bathroom! (not me tho)

2) Julio Iglesias and has made one of his sons work for a living for a Houston based airline!

3) I have fallen deeply in love with a vat of body butter.

4) I’m talking about all things Oscar this weekend as well…the movies, the fashions, here’s to hoping no one makes the same mistake Fashionista Mark Jacobs made and find their inspiration in a Swedish petrol station!

Lunar Eclipse … over cast here, but still a lovers moon =)

This is just breath-taking!!! How can you not be just facinated by this! It’s a FULL MOON and yet an eclipse too!

I don’t remembering this excited about a full moon lunar eclipse since I was in elementary school. My sister, my parents, the dog and I were in the back yard watching late at night. It was so special.

I didn’t realise then that according to Italian stories, a full moon in a clear sky is called a lover’s moon and a full moon in a cloudy sky is considered to be a liar’s moon. But if I know there is a full eclipse happening under those clouds…it’s still romantic to me. =)

The big green monster machine seems to be ready to sell off it’s assets for caaaaaa$h.

Clear Channel Houston is dropping KLOL (which it changed from rock station to Spanish speaking whatever a couple of years ago because it was not making the right amount of $$$) and either The Buzz 94.5 or Mix 96.5.

SHUT UP!

I have no idea how to feel about this, after they totally screwed Chris Baker by pairing him with that horrible Cynthia Hunt (I’m sure she is sweet, but she was not built for radio) to drop his ratings so they could fire him in the Annual Christmas Clear Channel Blood Bath I have had trouble supporting any of the stations. I just don’t know. However, Baker has been re-hired by the BGMM in another market.

So after dropping all of KLOL rock staff, including me, they are slowly but surely bringing some of them back on the 950. What a horrible idea!!! Not that I don’t adore Outlaw Dave or think that Windy Miller, Queen of the Mid-Day World doesn’t need a job. But if it didn’t work 2 times before, what makes you think it will work again??? Idiot.

AND… Not So Blind Item…one of the morning show guys hit on me with his wife in the room…EEEEEWWWWW!!!! Nice to know that class is abounding in this little city of ours.

There is a wonderful TOTAL lunar eclipse happening tonight that we will not get to see thanks to the weather.

American Not So Idol

Ok…it’s widely known that Idol is dropping in the ratings. But they are going back on their own rules by letting psudo professionals participate this year as well as people that have gone through to Hollywood in previous years. The talent pool can’t be that low, can it? And you can buy their tryout songs on Itunes. WHAT??? Three of the past Idol winners have been dropped by their lable because they are not selling so are they honestly trying to make money off of these wanna be talentless hacks before the label has a chance to fail with them??? Just how stupid do they think the American public is about their choices for music? hhmm

Regardless, my issue is with the male singers. I am watching while I write and the past 4 “male” singers had such high voices that they could have been girls. I’m sorry, call me old fashioned, but I like my men to be men, to look like a man, sound like a man, act like a man…a gentleman, thank you. (although i will bite my toungue and a few other things over that Australian..he can light my fire! WOO)

I produced the year that Taylor Hicks won and that was fun. oh Chris…

Chocolate-(drool)

If you are human, you probably have a dessert compartment. It doesn’t really matter how much you have eaten at one sitting, there is always room in the dessert compartment. But there is something to be said for trying to stay healthy.

Raindrop Chocolate has done just that!

The owner, Don, is such a joy every time I go in. You will never eat Hershey’s again!
Everything he sells is made right there in the store! It’s all natural, wax and preservative free. The hand made truffles are brainwashingly delicious. I suggest the Champaign/Rose or Curry and for the true chocolate connoisseurs I humbly offer up the 85% dark.
Pick up the TOT’s (take out truffles) during the day time and go back after dinner for his home made Gelatto. Yes, also all natural!!!
They are open til 10.

WONDERFUL GIFT IDEA!! Take the tot’s (and I do mean the truffles!!) instead of a bottle of wine to a dinner party! You will make a much better impression!

NOT So Blind Item…

There is a school on Westheimer near Hazard and Woodhead. It’s across the street from on of my fav restaurants…they are known for their yummy cookies although I go for their pimento cheese … So I was getting my pimento cheese after my run this afternoon and the place was FILLED with kids from the school. Where are these parents?? Why are you letting your children hang out at a restaurant that serves alcohol?? Why are you letting your children hang out anywhere instead of being at home for and with them?? The manager and I were chatting while I was waiting for my order and she said that it’s become a babysitting type of experience. These kids will come in and drop their bookbags on the floor and yell across the room to each other. If you are one of the parents of these kids…you should be ashamed of yourself. I understand having to work, but I don’t understand not being a good parent. You should probably consider birth control in the future. ..

What’s up Buttercups??? Spring is springing and baseball is in the air. What I don’t get is how that equals to Hunter Pence falling through a sliding glass door trying to get out of a hot tub and rumors of the President pardoning Roger Clemens…if convicted of course. Some how, baseball just ain’t what it used to be.

(btw: this is not Hunter’s first foray into the world of potential trouble…
so I guess my question is, do we have something to worry about here? Is it possibly time to straighten up, Thunder Pants??)

Whatever the deal, blessings and love to Hunter. Get well soon. as for Clemens…well as much as I want to believe the best, the truth will come out in the wash and we will be relieved or hurt….and time goes on.
